2020 UW-Madison Scholarship Award Winner

The Shannon Marie & Louis Porter Smith Foundation is proud to announce Laura Vergenz as our 2020 UW-Madison scholarship award winner.

Laura displays great passion for the nursing profession which is reinforced by her strong academic success. The board feels she will be a great asset to her future patients and to the nursing field as a whole. We look forward to seeing where her career takes her.

2021 UW-Madison Scholarship Award Winner

The Shannon Marie & Louis Porter Smith Foundation is honored to select Abigail Douglas as our 2021 UW-Madison Scholarship recipient.

Abigail is changing careers and returning to UW-Madison to pursue nursing. She has an obvious drive for the profession which is reinforced by her life experiences. We are excited to support this future nurse!
